Berkeley SkyDeck is a top global accelerator. Named by Forbes as one of the top five university accelerators in January 2019, SkyDeck is UC Berkeley’s largest official startup accelerator and a joint program of the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business, the College of Engineering, and the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research. Funded by top institutional VCs likeSequoia and Mayfield, SkyDeck combines the hands-on mentorship of traditional accelerators with the vast resources of its research university. Participating startups have access to SkyDeck’s 200 advisors, 30 industry partners, and a network of more than 500,000 UC Berkeley alumni.

Chon Tang is the former founding partner of quant hedge fund firm Junzi Capital Engineering, and successful angel investor with a love for all things entrepreneurial. He has now proudly launched the Berkeley SkyDeck Fund in support of UC Berkeley's premier accelerator, and looks to help build Berkeley into a global nexus for entrepreneurship. Chris is the Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of Cisco Meraki. Chris joined Cisco with the Meraki acquisition in 2012 and became VP, COO in 2014.
Chris oversees the overall operations teams, strategy and analytics, channel and customer enablement, business operations, business systems, IT & facilities, and is responsible for maintaining Meraki’s overall operations and profitability. Chris scaled teams and processes at Meraki to support its rapid growth. Under Chris’s leadership Meraki has realized sales growth of ~25x while headcount has grown by only seven times. Chris and the leadership team have globalized the Meraki portfolio, bringing simplified IT to more than 190 countries around the world while adding an average of more than 200 new customers a day.
Prior to joining Cisco, Chris worked at McKinsey & Company where he led projects helping U.S. companies enter developing international markets, deploying clean technologies and renewable energy, and on climate change. Prior to his tenure at McKinsey he was a practicing engineer leading the planning, design, and construction of public infrastructure projects.
Chris holds a B.S. in civil engineering and an M.S. in environmental engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Edith Yeung is the managing partner at Proof of Capital, the creator of the China Internet Report and Advisor at 500 Startups. She invests in blockchain and AI startups, including Stellar, Nebulas, Solana, Oasis Labs, Hooked, DayDayCook, Silk Labs (acquired by Apple), Fleksy (acquired by Pinterest), Human (acquired by Mapbox), AISense, Penrose, Cryworks, Piper, Apptopia, Palantir and many more.
Before 500, Edith is the GM of Dolphin Browser, a Sequoia-backed mobile browser with over 150 million installs worldwide. Jaggie Zhu almost recently led investment and the development of artificial-intelligence innovations at Bytedance, a $75B AI company backed by Soft Bank Vision fund, Sequoia and KKR. The company provides recommendation system backed social media globally through apps such as TikTok (which has absorbed Musical.ly) and Toutiao. She previously worked at Blue Lake Capital, the $600M venture arm as a part of Hillhouse Capital Group ecosystem, where she focused on new AI ventures and marketplace innovation. Before that, she and three Stanford alumni co-founded a e-commerce startup making secondhand cars shopping easier. Jaggie started her career at Procter & Gamble as a product manager, leading the Gillette Mach3 business in Greater China and achieving record market share. Her investments range from the leading self-driving AI technology to the marketplace in the U.S. , including Momenta.ai, 17zuoye, Doumi.com and so on. She‘s now a sloan fellow at Stanford.

Joshua Walker is Aon’s Chief Product Officer for IP Solutions. He has been practicing intellectual property and “big data” law in Silicon Valley for over 16 years, including as head of SV IP transactions for a major law firm. In part to improve legal process in the US, he co-founded and led Lex Machina, Inc., as well as co-founding CodeX: The Stanford Center for Legal Informatics.
Walker received his A.B. degree from Harvard College, m.c.l., and his J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. He is the author of “On Legal AI” (Fastcase / Full Court Press).

Kelly L Mohritz is an International Business Banking Senior Executive for HSBC Commercial Banking USA, where she supports small to mid-size businesses ($5-50 million). Mohritz has over 20 years of experience working with businesses in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia.
She began her career in Chicago as a consultant with Arthur Andersen Business Consulting in 1998. She later joined KPMG as a Senior Consultant in 2002 and went on to serve as a Manager in the company’s US and UK offices.
Mohritz joined Barclays in 2007 in the Global Leader Programme and entered into management in 2009 as Co-Head of Small Business Banking Kenya, later named Head of Business Development, UK & Ireland Origination. In 2014 she founded The Purple Artichoke, a catering business in London after attending Le Cordon Bleu.
In 2015, Mohritz joined HSBC as Regional Director of Small Businesses in London, UK. She returned to the United States in 2017 to begin her current role. Kelly received her MBA from London Business School. She is based out of Los Angeles.

Lawrence Tang is the Head of Investment Promotion in the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office (HKETO) in San Francisco.
HKETO in the United States is the permanent representative of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government (HKSARG). The HKETO’s mission is to represent the HKSARG in strengthening the economic, trade, investment and cultural ties between Hong Kong and the United States.
Lawrence is specialized in investment promotion and facilitation. Together with Invest Hong Kong, the HKSARG agency dedicated to promoting inward investment in Hong Kong, he provides information, advice and assistance to facilitate U.S. companies in setting up and expanding their business in Hong Kong.
Lawrence holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from University of Hong Kong, a bachelor’s degree in laws from University of Wolverhampton (UK) and a master’s degree in business administration from University of Warwick (UK).

Lan is the founding partner of Basis Set Ventures (www.basisset.vc), an early stage venture firm focused on the Future of Work through artificial intelligence. Lan built the Corporate Development Strategy team at Dropbox, which was one of the most acquisitive private tech companies during her tenure with 30+ acquisitions. Prior to Dropbox, she worked with McKinsey in New York and Shanghai, advising Fortune 500 companies on issues including big data, AI, and growth strategy. Earlier in her career, Lan was an entrepreneur who built brain training games. She studied human brain functions for her Ph.D. and received her MA in Statistics, both from the University of Michigan.
